This project was a self-initiated brief to create a brand for an activist group who offer a more honest, disruptive contraceptive pill option, and are passionate about making sure women’s voices are heard.
As someone who has experienced sexism in healthcare first hand, I was passionate about creating a project to amplify women’s voices on this rarely spoken about topic. I wanted to create a disruptive, loud campaign that not only offered a less patronising, clearer visual identity for pill packaging, but also educates those who don’t yet know the struggles women still face with medical professionals telling them things such as ‘it’s probably just your period’. It also functions as a platform for women to rant about any of their frustrations, for example each of the pill packs will come with a variety of stickers which women are encouraged to stick around wherever they see fit in order to start the conversation.
This is a proposed collaboration between Clamour and Chelsea FC, which would act as a ‘takeover’ to make sure this issue was seen by an audience who typically may not usually engage with this information.
